Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toniz Collins (born in Mexico) is the Mexican American broadcaster. She's an ESPN anchor on news, and she hosts SportsNation at times. She began working for ESPN in 2016. Her mother is the television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bilingual since the age of nine years old a useful skill that helped her secure her first job in the production department with Univision in Miami which allowed her to work with the producers of national shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Her first job was as an reporter at the CBS St. Petersburg affiliate after that. In the course of a family holiday in Ohio, the younger Collins was able to take a job along with her sister. Antonietta was a senior in high school, yet she had a clear idea of the path she wanted to pursue. While deciding if Mount Union would be a good fit for her, Antonietta decided to go visit the school. In the end, she was a fan of the university and the university offered the kind of program she was searching for. She finished school and enrolled at the University as a major in media studies. Mark Bergmann, her professor who also managed the WRMU's 91.1FM station, where she was employed over the years, became her friend.
